Recently there has been an increase of cyclists on the roads and in the cafes. Cycling has become much more popular in recent years and has many health benefits which make it even more appealing.
This kind of exercise benefits over 50s aswell. It has been shown in a study that moderate bike riding for at least 4 hours a week can cut the risk of a heart attack by 31%. This can be increased to 58% with a combination of exercises including cycling and jogging.
So why not give it a go. If you don’t own a bike you could hire one first to see if you like it. Or why not book a cycling taster holiday.
