Summer arrives in June

The 21st of June is the longest day. With the additional light from the longer days and extra warmth of the summer heat our gardens will be showing an exciting burst of growth.

However, alongside all our lovely plants and trees growing, the weeds will be springing up out of what appears to be nowhere. It’s important to keep on top of these to keep our gardens looking at their best and not spoiling all our hard work.

Alongside the general garden maintenance required at this time of year like the weeds and mowing of the lawn, now is the time to get planting your summer bedding plants. Whether it’s a show of hanging baskets and containers or borders full of delights, it’s time to get the show started!
